The aim of this new teaching module is to study European Union policies and initiatives that support resilience in the face of climate change. RESCUE: WHAT IS IT? A 40-hour interdisciplinary European teaching module, co-financed by the European Union as part of the Erasmus + programme, Jean Monnet Action and which will be offered by La Rochelle University from the 2022-2023 academic year to all students of all disciplines from L1 to M2. WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE RESCUE MODULE? Provide students with training that allows: to better understand the risks linked to climate change. to carry out a critical analysis of the many concrete initiatives developed by the European Union within the framework of its climate, environmental, energy, maritime, social policies…etc. to understand the importance of European cooperation and external partnerships to achieve the overall objective of resilience to climate change to master the essential tools to contribute concretely to the necessary transformation of society. to offer an innovative training that is increasingly sought after by public and private recruiters at local, national and European level.
