BCI-QUEBEC programme La Rochelle Université > International > Studying abroad > Going abroad as an exchange student > BCI-QUEBEC programme Published on 5 September 2019 - updated on 13 May 2024 The BCI (Office of Inter-University Cooperation) program enables students to study at a university in Quebec for a semester or an academic year. What is BCI? The Office of Inter-University Cooperation (formerly known as CREPUQ: Conference of Rectors and Principals of the Universities of Quebec) is a voluntary group of Quebec universities. The BCI program aims to foster exchanges, promote common objectives and make available to academic institutions the services they may need. To participate in the BCI program, you need to: Be enrolled at La Rochelle Université Have successfully completed one academic year Have successfully completed the semester before leaving Have a strong academic performance record How do I apply ? Firstly, as with other programmes, the teacher in your degree major will select students : Faculty of Literature, Languages, Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Faculty of Science and Technology Faculty of Law, Political Science and Management University Technology Institute (IUT) University School of Management (IAE) Consult the BCI program website Consult the list of affiliated Quebec establishments Find a course corresponding to your degree course at La Rochelle Université by consulting the “study programs open to exchange students” (programmes d’études ouverts aux étudiants en échange). Make an application to the International Office in January after having chosen with your supervising teacher the host university and the courses you will take. Fill in the admission form for the host university. How do I prepare my application for the host university ? You will need: Online admission form printed and signed, which you will receive upon the pre-registration at the International Office Cover letter A copy of all post-baccalaureate course transcripts A list of potential courses and a list of courses taken: to be validated by the university lecturer. A letter of recommendation signed by a lecturer of La Rochelle Université 1 assessment of your level in English for English-language Quebec universities only (Bishop’s University) A copy of your ID card or Passport Additional documentation if needed Calendar of the BCI program The programme is onlyopenonce per year, in January, for all exchanges during the next academic year. Example: you need to apply in January 2019 for a departure in September 2019 or January 2020. The complete procedure and the user guide can be found on the BCI website.
