Biotechnology, Agri-food, Health sector

The aim of this pathway is to provide biotechnological solutions to enhance the value of natural biological resources such as those found in our coastal environment. Thus, it is fully in line with the blue growth strategy of our region and its social and economic players, while proposing methods that respect the environment and ensure the preservation of biodiversity.

Its objective is to offer new products (molecules, ingredients) and services (bioprocessing) for the well-being and health of people. It is therefore intended for industries in the agri-food and agro-resources sectors, as well as the pharmaceutical, cosmetology and environmental sectors (solutions for aquaculture and biomaterials).

The Biotechnologies, Agri-food, Health pathway caters for 700 students from B.U.T. to doctorate level and brings together around thirty researchers and ten doctoral students in four research laboratories.

As part of its commitment to innovation and the creation of new products, it has incubated the start-up Valbiotis, an R&D company involved in the fight against metabolic diseases, as well as in prevention and scientific innovation.

The course leader is Ingrid ARNAUDIN, a teacher-researcher.
